About Lynda Sanchez
Lynda is seeking the office of Harris County Clerk to restore and uphold integrity, strengthen trust in the Clerk’s office, and ensure total transparency for the voters and residents of Harris County and to bring back accountability and accessibility. She believes every individual deserves clear processes, open communication, and confidence in the systems that serve them.
Lynda was born in Houston, Texas to Cuban immigrant parents who instilled in her the values of Patriotism, family, integrity, hard work, service, and community. Those values have guided her throughout her life and career, and now inspire her to serve Harris County as its next clerk.
She is a graduate of St. Agnes Academy and attended the University of St. Thomas. After attending the University of St. Thomas, Lynda spent 15 years in education, teaching Spanish and helping students develop meaningful communication skills while building confidence in their academic journey. Her time in the classroom strengthened the patience, organization and dedication she carries into every aspect of her work.
She later brought her skills to the Harris County District Courts, where she worked for more than 8 years as a Spanish interpreter, ensuring compliance with state and federal law that all defendants understood the charges brought against by the state.
Over 28 years ago, Lynda and her husband built a logistics company that has grown into a highly successful business. Through this experience, she has gained strong skills and knowledge in management, budgeting, and customer service skills she believes are essential for efficiently running and maintaining an efficient and responsive County Clerk’s office.
Her commitment to community involvement is long-standing. She served over 7 years as President of the Precinct 287 Civic Association, working closely with neighbors to strengthen communication, safety, build engagement, and address local concerns.
Lynda also volunteers at the Houston Food Bank, supporting families across the region and reinforcing her belief in compassion, dignity, and service to others.
Lynda has been married for 38 years to her husband, Gaston Kroneman. Together, they are the proud parents of two children, Gaston Kroneman and Natalie Bell. Her family remains her greatest source of inspiration and strength.
